TNPSC Exam for Civil Engineers-CESE - AE Civil Exam- TN PWD Exam - Information,Question Papers


Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission(TNPSC) conducts Combined Engineering Service Examination (CESE) for the following posts.
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Water Resourses Organisation, PWD - Tamil Nadu Engineering Service
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Building Organisation, PWD - Tamil Nadu Engineering Service
  • Assistant Engineer in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department - Tamil Nadu Panchayat Development Service
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Highways Department - Tamil Nadu Highways Engineering Service

Eligibility

  • Age should not exceed 30 years as on the last date of the receipt of application.
  • No maximum age limit for SC/ST/MBC/DC/BC/BCM and destitute widows of all castes.

Educational Qualification

  • B.E. degree in Civil Engineering (or) Pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations under Civil Engineering branch
 How to apply
  • Application can be obtained from the Post Offices on payment of Rs.30/- and Examination fees is Rs.75/-
  • Candidates can avail the application online through the Commission's website.
  • Candidates should enclose attested copies of all certificates along with the application form.
  • Filled application form along with the enclosures should be sent to
    The Controller of Examinations,
    Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission,
    No.1, Greams Road,
    Chennai - 600 006.

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates will have to face a written test (Civil & Seneral Studies)) that will be held on 9 September 2015 followed by a personal interview test(40marks) for their selection in TNPSC.
  • Minimum qualifying score will be generally 102 for reserved categories and 136 for general out of 340.
